CATALAN INVENTIONS

NARCÍS MONTURIOL, INVENTOR OF THE SUBMARINE "ICTINEU"

Let's sing the song "yellow submarine" and fill in the gaps:

CATALANS IN NEW YORK

PAU CASALS' SPEECH AT THE UNITED NATIONS

PANCAKE DAY

Pancakes on Pancake Day. In some towns there are pancake races. People run in the streets holding frying pans with pancakes. Each runner tosses the pancake into the air and catches it in the pan. In other countries, people celebrate Carnival at the same time of the year. There are parades through the streets with bands, fireworks and people wear masks and fancy dresses.

Fish are in danger! Lots of sea animals will disappear if we don't protect the oceans from pollution and bad fishing pratices. The Paint a Fish campaign aims to restore EU fish stocks for future generations. Our year four students have painted  fish sending the drawings online to this website:

Rowan Sebastian Atkinson (Mr Bean) is one of the most popular British comedians. He is an actor and a screenwriter, too. He loves driving and collecting vintage (classic) and modern cars. He's got a Mc Laren F1 and he is a racing driver.

Rowan Atkinson took part in the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games on July 27, 2012, in London. Mr Bean pretended to play the piano along with the orchestra, but encountered a problem when he sneezed and needed to blow his nose.
